American bulbs are the rule with lilies, for none in the world are any better, fresher, or less likely to carry disease.
Unless you are a fancier of species, you’ll get the most satisfaction from the newer easy hybrid strains or clones.

Some good kinds:
- Olympic Hybrids— White trumpets of unusual vigor and size; June, July. Like regals but later, larger.
- Mid-Century Hybrids — Reliable reds, oranges, yellows, mostly spotted, two to four feet, June.
- Royal Gold — A yellow regal trumpet lily, three to five feet, July.
- Pink Perfection Strain — Tall pink trumpet lilies atop four-to six-foot stems. June, July.
- Black Magic Strain — White trumpets with dark markings on the reverse. Vigorous. June-July. Tall.
- Imperial Series Three strains — Crimson, Silver, Gold, of large flat exotically marked lilies that bloom in August.
