Autumn Season For Gardeners and Plants

The autumn season favors not only the gardeners but also the plants. Though a plant does suffer some shock when transplanted due to injury to its roots.

It recovers quickly. In the fall, root growth is encouraged by shorter days, less intense sun, and lower temperatures. 

Really, the only plants that may not transplant successfully in the fall are those that, even when well-established, often fail to survive the winter. 

But others, including most trees. shrubs, evergreens. spring-blooming bulbs and perennials will do best if they are planted now.
